Basketball Game Preview: McQueen Lancers vs. Damonte Ranch Mustangs

McQueen is on a nine-game streak of home losses, Damonte Ranch a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The McQueen Lancers will host the Damonte Ranch Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

McQueen came up short against Reed on Monday, falling 58-38. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 70th, while the Raiders are ranked eighth).

McQueen's defeat came about despite a quality game from Brooklyn Pimpl, who posted nine points and seven boards.

Meanwhile, Damonte Ranch lost to Reno at home by a 66-50 margin on Tuesday. The Mustangs were down 55-27 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Damonte Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for McQueen, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-19.
