Baseball Recap: Holland Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After low-scoring totals in their previous five contests, Holland brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. They blew past the Bremond Tigers 12-3 on Monday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Hornets as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Tyler Johnson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Holland is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 1-17 otherwise. Johnson was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Colin Hall was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5. He has become a key player for Holland: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 0-17 otherwise. James Keavney was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Holland's win bumped their record up to 3-18. As for Bremond, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.
