Softball Recap: Mio-Au Sable Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Mio-Au Sable's offense. They lost 12-0 to the Johannesburg-Lewiston Cardinals on Tuesday. The Thunderbolts haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Kenzie Wickham spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered 12 runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up ten Ks.

Mio-Au Sable's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Johannesburg-Lewiston, their win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mio-Au Sable will face off against Hillman at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Johannesburg-Lewiston, they will square off against Inland Lakes at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
