Softball Recap: Palo Verde Valley Comes Up Short

Palo Verde Valley was the 8-0 winner over Rancho Mirage when they last played one another last Wednesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets fell 12-7 to the Rancho Mirage Rattlers on Wednesday. The Yellow Jackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Arianna Lee was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Pierce, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Palo Verde Valley's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Rancho Mirage, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Palo Verde Valley has already played their next contest (against Calipatria), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Rancho Mirage, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 20-10 victory against Xavier Prep on the 7th.
