Soccer Game Preview: York Catholic vs. High Point Baptist Academy

The York Catholic Fighting Irish will challenge the High Point Baptist Academy Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. York Catholic's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

York Catholic fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Northeastern on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 1-0. The loss was York Catholic's first of the season.

Meanwhile, High Point Baptist Academy had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 goals) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Flames a 5-0 shutout. High Point Baptist Academy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matchups by three goals or more this season.

Mason Booz and Trey Booz scored all five of High Point Baptist Academy's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 74 goals.

High Point Baptist Academy's win bumped their record up to 15-5. As for York Catholic, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 18-1-1.
