Baseball Recap: Lisbon Takes a Loss

Lisbon fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Central Cass on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Squirrels by a score of 8-6. The Broncos have struggled against the Squirrels recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Cruz Reinke made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Jacob Lyons was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Lisbon's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Central Cass, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4.

While Lisbon had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
