Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Alvin). They put the hurt on the South Houston Trojans with a sharp 16-4 win on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Alvin's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-8. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for South Houston, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Alvin will be playing at home against Sam Rayburn at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Houston, they will welcome Manvel at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
