Volleyball Recap: White Cloud Takes a Loss

White Cloud was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Grant Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, White Cloud sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-22, 18-25, 18-16.

Grant was led to victory by Longcore Emma and VanMeter Lillian. Emma had seven digs and two aces, while Lillian had 12 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Lillian has posted since back in September.

White Cloud's defeat dropped their record down to 14-19. As for Grant, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-16-3 record this season.

White Cloud does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Grant, they will take on Fruitport at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
