Lafayette is 7-1 against Roosevelt since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Lafayette Patriots will head out to face off against the Roosevelt Cougars at 5:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Lafayette is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Sunset Park, posting a 102-61 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Patriots as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Roosevelt suffered their closest loss since January 3, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Dewey by a score of 59-56.

Roosevelt's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Lafayette, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.

Lafayette barely slipped by Roosevelt when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 43-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lafayette since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
