The home team had come away the winner the last four times Boonville and Princeton had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Pioneers walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Tigers on Monday. That's more bragging rights for the Pioneers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Boonville got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the fourth set. The final score came out to 26-28, 25-22, 25-19, 33-31.

Despite the defeat, Princeton saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Abigail Wright had 13 digs.

Boonville's record now sits at 7-11. As for Princeton, their loss ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-15.

Boonville has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against North Posey on the 1st. As for Princeton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Evansville Central on the 1st.
