Football Recap: Crystal Springs Uplands Skates Past Pinewood with Ease

Crystal Springs Uplands strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Pinewood Panthers 54-12. With the Gryphons ahead 46-6 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Jimmy Naylor had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 201 yards and five TDs on only 17 passes, while also rushing for 49 yards. Thanks to that big game, he is now up to 19 passing touchdowns on the season. Crystal Springs Uplands' leading receiver Nick Loew was Naylor's top target yet again, picking up 96 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Crystal Springs Uplands didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Loew and Eddy Wu. Wu got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Crystal Springs Uplands' win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Pinewood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.

Crystal Springs Uplands does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pinewood, they have already played their next matchup, a 28-20 victory against Anzar on the 31st.
