Lambert had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.0 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Forsyth Central Bulldogs.

Reagan Young tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Lambert's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Jones, who went a perfect 1-for-1 while posting 1 double and 1 RBI.

Lambert swung out of their shoes and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they have managed all season.

Lambert has now won six of their last seven games at home. That's given a solid lift to their 15-7 record this season. Those home victories were due in large part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those seven games. As for Forsyth Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-13.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Lambert will square off against their in-conference opponent North Forsyth at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Forsyth Central is set to take on their familiar foe South Forsyth at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
