            Baseball Recap: Las Lomas Knights vs. Northgate Broncos        
        
		
        
        
            It may have taken  eight innings to finish the job, but Las Lomas ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Northgate Broncos  2-1. The  win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Broncos: they've now won three in a row.

 Alessandro Martinez-Cabrera tossed a big game,   striking out eight batters over  six innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits (and not a single walk). Las Lomas is undefeated when  Martinez-Cabrera allows two or  fewer  earned runs, but 3-6-1 otherwise.
 On the hitting side,  Jack Foscalina was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4. He also put up a  double, which was his first of the season.  Jimmy Salinas was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
The  victory  got Las Lomas back to even at 6-6-1. As for Northgate, their loss  ended  a  four-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 7-6.
Las Lomas will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Broncos: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
