Soccer Game Preview: Bothell/Inglemoor vs. Eastlake

The Bothell/Inglemoor Cougars will square off against the Eastlake Wolves at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bothell/Inglemoor's last six contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Bothell/Inglemoor is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Washington's top teams: Lake Washington, who was ranked fifth at the time (Bothell/Inglemoor was ranked 15th). The Cougars came out on top in a nail-biter against the Kangaroos on Tuesday, sneaking past 4-3. The high-scoring effort was just what Bothell/Inglemoor needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Meanwhile, Eastlake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Issaquah, falling 6-1. That's two games in a row now that Eastlake have lost by exactly five goals.

Bothell/Inglemoor's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Eastlake, they now have a losing record of 4-5-2.

Bothell/Inglemoor beat Eastlake by a goal in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 4-3. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
