Palo Verde won the last time they faced Flowing Wells and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Titans strolled past the Caballeros with points to spare, taking the game 76-58. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Titans.

Palo Verde got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kamaiu Ortiz out in front who shot 63% from the field en route to 11 points along with eight boards and seven steals. What's more, Ortiz posted five assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kameron Pippen, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten assists.

Palo Verde was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Flowing Wells only racked up nine.

Flowing Wells' loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was O'Shay Walker, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten rebounds. Walker is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Isaias Encinas was another key player, going 6-for-14 to rack up 13 points in addition to eight assists and five boards.

Palo Verde's record now sits at 2-0. As for Flowing Wells, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Palo Verde will venture away from home to square off against Cholla at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Flowing Wells, they will head out to take on Mountain View at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
