Basketball Recap: Pueblo South Falls Short of Golden in the Playoffs

Pueblo South and Golden squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Pueblo South had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Golden Demons by a score of 53-50. The Colts haven't had much luck with the Demons recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Leif Hansen was his usual excellent self, shooting 90% from the field to rack up 20 points and eight rebounds for Golden. The last time Hansen's shooting accuracy was this high was back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sam Schillie, who posted 13 points.

Pueblo South's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Golden, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-10 record.

Pueblo South does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Golden, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-59 defeat against Lutheran on the 28th.
