There's no place like home for Kamiak, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Cascade Bruins on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Bruins: they've now won four in a row.

Gabby Veighey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, Katie McBride was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Synclair Mawudeku, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and two doubles.

Kamiak's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Cascade, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Kamiak will face off against rival Lake Stevens at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cascade is set to challenge their familiar foe Jackson at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
