The Ida B. Wells Guardians will face off against the Franklin Quakers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Ida B. Wells is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 49 points two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Roosevelt on Friday. They fell just short of the Roughriders by a score of 14-12. While the Guardians didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Roughriders 12-0 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 43-16 defeat at the hands of Lincoln.

Ida B. Wells' loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Franklin, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-3.

Everything came up roses for Ida B. Wells against Franklin when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 50-21 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Quakers' Jay Sayre, who rushed for 108 yards and three scores.
