Volleyball Recap: Cedarburg Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Middleton

Cedarburg faced Middleton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Bulldogs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 two weeks ago.

Ian Wilson paced Cedarburg's offense, picking up six kills. Wilson got some help from Mason Eickberg and his 14 assists.

With the loss, Cedarburg broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-5. As for Middleton, the win keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.

Cedarburg has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Germantown on the 13th. As for Middleton, they will challenge Fort Atkinson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
