Volleyball Recap: Sylvania Comes Up Short

Sylvania was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the New Hope Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2021.

New Hope found their leader in freshman Stella Reed, who had six assists and five digs.

Sylvania's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for New Hope, the victory snapped their losing streak at six matches and leaves them with a 9-24 record.

Sylvania has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Albertville on the 6th. As for New Hope, they will be playing at home against Madison Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
