Plainfield East has gone a perfect 3-0 against Guilford recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Plainfield East Bengals will be taking part in a tournament against the Guilford Vikings at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Plainfield East unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell 3-1 to Sandburg on Monday. Plainfield East fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Eagles since on Monday.

Meanwhile, Guilford's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They came up short against Jacobs, falling 5-2. The Vikings have struggled against the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

Plainfield East skirted past Guilford 1-0 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Will Plainfield East repeat their success, or does Guilford have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
