Softball Recap: Tallmadge Drops Highest Score of Season Against North

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tallmadge). They never let the North Vikings get on the board and left with a 22-0 victory on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Blue Devils, who have now won nine contests in a row.

T Roberts made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (three). She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

In other pitching news, Larissa Taylor looked comfortable as she tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Naomi Richardson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Paonessa, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Tallmadge pushed their record up to 16-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for North, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

As of now, neither Tallmadge nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
