Softball Recap: Muhlenberg Takes a Loss

Muhlenberg extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 6-11 in the process. They came up short against the Exeter Township Eagles, falling 22-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Muhls' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Exeter Township, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Exeter Township's part, they got a massive performance out of Mackenzie O'Brien, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with five runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. What's more, O'Brien posted three hits, the most she's had since April 3rd. The team also got some help courtesy of Meghan Moyer, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

Coming up, Muhlenberg will square off against Wilson at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Exeter Township does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
