Football Recap: Liberty's Undefeated Season over After Three Games + How To Watch

If Liberty was feeling good fresh off their 42-0 takedown of St. James last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thayer Bobcats on Friday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Liberty fell to 2-1. As for Thayer, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Liberty will take on rival Ava at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Thayer is set to square off against their familiar foe Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
