Baseball Recap: Eagle Valley Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Eagle Valley had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Montrose Red Hawks by a score of 7-5 on Thursday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it ten in a row.

Anthony Ehlert was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double.

The win made it two in a row for Montrose and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Eagle Valley has already played their next game, an 11-0 defeat against Summit on the 13th. As for Montrose, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-8 loss against Alamosa on the 13th.
