St. David had won ten straight home games dating back to last season and Zoey Mudge did her part to make it 11 on Wednesday. The Tigers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Fort Thomas Apaches 3-2 for which the team can thank Mudge, who had 15 assists and 14 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.
St. David took Fort Thomas into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-11, 24-26, 25-20, 15-10.
St. David's victory bumped their record up to 17-18. As for Fort Thomas, their loss ended a six-match streak of away wins and brought them to 16-7.
As of now, neither St. David nor the Apaches have any future games scheduled.
