North Creek hasn't had much luck against Jackson recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Jaguars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Timberwolves at 10:00 a.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Saturday.
North Creek's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Sammamish as they made off with a 10-0 victory. Considering the Jaguars have won eight contests by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Jackey Boschee was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, North Creek let Paige Geller and Emma Gochenour run wild. Geller went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Gochenour went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Geller is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Cayle Key was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jackson). They blew past Cascade 14-4 on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Timberwolves as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Allie Thomsen (2025-UW) made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). Thomsen (2025-UW) was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kiana Holden (2025), who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four runs. Another player making a difference was Mia Ediger (2026), who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Jackson hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 2-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
North Creek's victory bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Jackson, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. North Creek has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Jackson struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
North Creek couldn't quite get it done against Jackson in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 3-0. Will the Jaguars have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
