Baseball Recap: Tate Find Success

With a playoff win on the line, Tate rose to the challenge on Saturday. They came out on top against the Fletcher Senators by a score of 8-3. This was a revenge game for the Aggies: when they faced off against the Senators on Thursday, they had to take a 8-0 defeat.

Lance Brady spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on four hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kaden Posta, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cal Foxworth, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Tate's win bumped their record up to 16-12. As for Fletcher, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-10-1 record this season.

Tate will face off against Buchholz at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bobcats will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Aggies surely won't give up without a fight. Fletcher does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
