Baseball Game Preview: Jim Ned Indians vs. Wall Hawks

The Jim Ned Indians will square off against the Wall Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Jim Ned 2.9, Wall 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Tuesday, Jim Ned didn't have quite enough to beat Clyde and fell 3-2. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jim Ned saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Watson, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, after a string of 12 wins, Wall's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Abilene by a score of 4-2. The Hawks were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the 12 matchups prior), but the Eagles' pitchers proved too tough.

Wall's loss dropped their record down to 20-4. As for Jim Ned, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-5.

Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Jim Ned hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .429. However, it's not like Wall struggles in that department as they've averaged .370. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
