Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Abingdon

It's playoff time, and Abingdon had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Staunton River Golden Eagles 2-1. That's two games straight that the Falcons have won by just one run.

Abingdon saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brenna Green, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

The victory (which was Abingdon's third in a row) raised their record to 23-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Staunton River, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-5.

As of now, neither Abingdon nor the Golden Eagles have any future games scheduled.
