Baseball Recap: Honaker Comes Up Short

Honaker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 5-2 to the Patrick Henry Rebels. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly three runs.

Honaker now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Patrick Henry, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Honaker will face off against Northwood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Patrick Henry, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Rural Retreat at 7:00 p.m. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.09 runs per game on average), something the Rebels will no doubt try to take advantage of.
