Volleyball Recap: Wapakoneta Comes Up Short

Wapakoneta managed to slip by Celina the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Redskins lost 3-0 to the Bulldogs on Thursday. The Redskins just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row dating back to last season.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-14, 25-23.

Savannah Stratton paced Wapakoneta's offense, picking up nine kills. Stratton got some help from Alaina Custer and her 22 assists. Custer was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Wapakoneta's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Celina, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Wapakoneta didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Bellefontaine on the 23rd. As for Celina, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Ottoville on the 23rd.
