Recap: Andrean Fighting 59ers vs. Kankakee Valley Kougars
The Andrean Fighting 59ers entered their tilt with the Kankakee Valley Kougars with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Andrean walked away with a 32-25 victory over Kankakee Valley on Saturday. That's another feather in the cap for Andrean, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Maddie Walton continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Andrean's points. Ashlee Evans was another key contributor, scoring four points along with two steals.
Andrean's victory bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Kankakee Valley, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-8 record this season.
Andrean will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Chesterton at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. As for Kankakee Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rensselaer Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Rensselaer Central's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six games.
