Basketball Recap: Dexter Comes Up Short

Dexter lost to Foxcroft Academy back in December of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tigers were beaten by the Ponies 83-38. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kody Kimball, who went 7-for-15 en route to 16 points. The game was Kimball's third in a row with at least 16 points. Bryce Cooper was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Dexter's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Foxcroft Academy, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Looking ahead, Dexter will square off against Penobscot Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Foxcroft Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 56-34 victory against Orono on the 10th.
