Cumberland took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Northwestern, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Beavers skirted past the Tigers 7-6. This was a revenge game for the Beavers: when they faced off against the Tigers back in April, they had to take a 11-5 loss.
Tucker Wickstrom was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Uriah Johnson, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
