While Scott County's victory against Grant County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cardinals narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Braves 3-1. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Braves recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Keagan Hurt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits.

On the hitting side, Will Rose was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Wands, who earned three stolen bases.

Scott County's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Grant County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scott County will host Bryan Station at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grant County, they will square off against Walton-Verona at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be the Braves' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
