Basketball Recap: Pleasant Hill Takes a Loss

Pleasant Hill was the 57-43 winner over Nodaway Valley co-op [West Nodaway/Nodaway-Holt] when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Pleasant Hill Roosters/Chicks took a 59-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Nodaway Valley co-op [West Nodaway/Nodaway-Holt] on Friday.

Pleasant Hill's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Nodaway Valley co-op [West Nodaway/Nodaway-Holt], the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pleasant Hill will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Richmond at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. As for Nodaway Valley co-op [West Nodaway/Nodaway-Holt], they will head out on the road to challenge Tarkio at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Tarkio has won three straight at home, while Nodaway Valley co-op [West Nodaway/Nodaway-Holt] won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
