Volleyball Recap: Port St. Lucie Starts off Right with Win over Calvary Christian Academy

Port St. Lucie gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Calvary Christian Academy Panthers with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Jaguars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Port St. Lucie never let Calvary Christian Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 25-12, 25-19.

Calvary Christian Academy's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Port St. Lucie is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Treasure Coast at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they will face off against Halifax Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
