Baseball Recap: Lakeside Gets the Win

Medical Lake typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Lakeside proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with an 11-7 win over the Cardinals. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 9, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Dylan Davis looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Clayton Pavlin, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Lakeside's record is now 11-8. As for Medical Lake, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-8.

Lakeside will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cardinals: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
