Baseball Recap: Atascadero Greyhounds vs. Pioneer Valley Panthers
After flying high against Pioneer Valley last Tuesday, Atascadero came back down to earth. The Greyhounds fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. The Greyhounds were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 11-2.
Weston Witt was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he tossed 5.1 innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. Witt was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI.
