Basketball Game Preview: Weatherford Kangaroos vs. Boswell Pioneers

Weatherford hasn't had much luck against Boswell recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Weatherford Kangaroos will host the Boswell Pioneers at 6:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Weatherford fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Lake Ridge on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 66-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Kangaroos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Boswell waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 57-50. Given the Pioneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked first, while the Panthers are ranked 38th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Boswell pushed their record up to 27-2 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.9 points per game. As for Weatherford, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-10.
