Volleyball Recap: Cordova Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Cordova was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Winston County Yellowjackets. The Blue Devils were not able to make up for their defeat to the Yellowjackets from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Cordova started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-18, 15-12.

Chloe Kacharos paced Cordova's offense, picking up 11 kills. Kacharos got some help from Lexee King and her 30 assists. Mia Vance controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Cordova's loss dropped their record down to 17-15. As for Winston County, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 10-9.

Cordova wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Oakman on the 23rd. As for Winston County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Good Hope on the 22nd.
