Baseball Recap: Braden River Pirates vs. Inspiration Academy Lions
Braden River unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Inspiration Academy Lions on Monday, falling 12-1. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.
Braden River got a good showing from Rhys Klein, who struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the most strikeouts Klein has posted since back in February of 2024.
