Volleyball Game Preview: Holmes County Blue Devils vs. Chipley Tigers

Holmes County hasn't had much luck against Chipley recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Blue Devils will challenge the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Holmes County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Vernon. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Blue Devils as it put an end to their six-match losing streak.

Meanwhile, Chipley got the win against Bozeman on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Bucks: they've now won seven in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Chipley took every set by at least 16 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-5, 25-9.

Holmes County's win bumped their record up to 4-17. As for Chipley, their victory bumped their record up to 19-6.

Holmes County suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Chipley in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Blue Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
