After a string of five wins, Pinkston's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 80-73 defeat to the Roosevelt Mustangs. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Pinkston's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Roosevelt, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-10.

Pinkston will challenge Kimball at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kimball knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Pinkston likes a good challenge. As for Roosevelt, they will host Wilmer-Hutchins at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
