Recap: The Nueva School Mavericks vs. Kehillah Rams
After flying high against the San Francisco Christian Trojans last Friday, The Nueva School Mavericks came back down to earth. The Nueva School fell 65-52 to Kehillah on Monday. The Nueva School was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Kehillah apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played on January 11th.
Ittai Kohavi continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Kehillah, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Kohavi has scored at least a third of Kehillah's points. Another player making a difference was Bodhi Gemello, who scored 18 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
The Nueva School's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Kehillah, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-3.
The Nueva School will be playing at home against Design Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Design Tech is no doubt hoping to put an end to a nine-game streak of away losses. As for Kehillah, they will head out on the road to take on San Francisco Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. San Francisco Christian comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
