Having struggled with five losses in a row, Elgin turned things around against Vanlue on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 48-37. The contest marked the Comets' most dominant win of the season.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Temple Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 58-45 to Ridgemont. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 582nd, while the Golden Gophers are ranked 270th).

Elgin's victory bumped their record up to 3-10. As for Temple Christian, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-6.
