Baseball Game Preview: Lowell Red Arrows vs. Saranac Redhawks

The Lowell Red Arrows will challenge the Saranac Redhawks at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Lowell will be strutting in after a win while Saranac will be coming in after a loss.

Lowell is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over East Kentwood. The victory was nothing new for the Red Arrows as they're now sitting on five straight dating back to last season.

Caden Witten tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Blake Sitzer, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2. Logan Dawson was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

Saranac kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against Ionia, falling 12-2. The Redhawks have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.
