Soccer Recap: Baylor Takes a Loss

Baylor was the 3-2 winner over Dalton when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was Dalton who was credited with the win on Friday. Dalton got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Baylor Red Raiders' four. The loss was Baylor's first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Baylor fell to 3-1-1. As for Dalton, they pushed their record up to 13-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Baylor will take on Grissom at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dalton, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Northwest Whitfield at 7:30 p.m. on April 8. Northwest Whitfield's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
