Cole had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They blew past the Santa Rosa Warriors, posting an 84-20 win. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 25 points or more this season.

Cole's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayvin Ybarra, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 17 points along with six rebounds and five assists. That's the most boards Ybarra has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Aric Powell, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 14 points in addition to seven assists and five rebounds.

Cole smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 14 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Cole's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Santa Rosa, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Coming up, Cole and Lytle will face off at 10:15 a.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. The Cougars will be up against the Pirates' rather soft defense (which has allowed 62.6 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Santa Rosa, they will take on Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North in a tournament on Thursday.
